Meet Nathaniel D. Kwok, M.D.
Board-Certified in Internal Medicine
Nathaniel D. Kwok, M.D. is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician in Palm Beach Gardens who believes that good primary care starts with listening to the patient and taking the time to understand the full picture.
A Thoughtful Approach to Your Health
People don’t always come to their primary care doctor with a straightforward problem. Sometimes it’s fatigue that hasn’t gone away, a change in blood pressure, an unusual lab result, concerns about cholesterol or blood sugar, or simply the feeling that something isn’t quite right. Other patients feel perfectly well but have reached a point in life where they want to pay closer attention to their health and understand what they can do now to stay healthy in the years ahead.
This is where Dr. Kwok’s approach to primary care becomes especially valuable. He takes the time to review a patient’s medical history, family history, medications, previous test results, lifestyle, current symptoms, and changes that may have occurred over time. Rather than focusing on a single number or symptom, he looks for connections and considers what may deserve a closer look.
That doesn’t mean every concern requires another test or another medication. Sometimes the right answer is reassurance. Other times it may mean watching something more closely, making a realistic change in diet or activity, adjusting medication, ordering additional testing, or involving a specialist. Dr. Kwok’s role is to help patients understand their options and make informed decisions about what comes next.
Primary Care Focused on Prevention
Dr. Kwok earned his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College and completed his Internal Medicine residency at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. His background in Internal Medicine allows him to care for adults with a wide range of healthcare needs, including preventive care, high blood pressure, cholesterol concerns, diabetes and prediabetes, medication management, annual wellness visits, and ongoing or unexplained health concerns.
Now Welcoming Medicare & Self-Pay Patients
For Medicare patients, having a primary physician who knows your history can become increasingly important as medications, specialists, screenings, and medical conditions begin to overlap. Dr. Kwok provides Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and ongoing primary care with an emphasis on prevention, continuity, and helping patients understand how the different pieces of their healthcare fit together.
Dr. Kwok also welcomes self-pay patients. Some are looking for a new primary care physician, while others simply want a more thoughtful look at their health. You may have a strong family history of heart disease or diabetes, several specialists involved in your care, changing health numbers, or a concern that you feel hasn’t been fully explained. You don’t need to be sick to want a physician to take a closer look.
For Dr. Kwok, prevention is personal. What deserves attention at 45 may be very different at 65 or 75. Family history, lifestyle, previous health problems, medications, blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, and recommended screenings all help determine what matters for each individual patient.
His goal is to develop a relationship where patients feel comfortable asking questions and where their health can be followed over time. When something changes, there is value in having a physician who already knows where you started.
Located in Palm Beach Gardens, Dr. Kwok welcomes Medicare and self-pay patients from Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, Juno Beach, North Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Tequesta, and surrounding Palm Beach County communities.
If you’re looking for a primary care physician who will listen, ask questions, and take the time to understand your health rather than simply focusing on today’s complaint, we invite you to schedule a visit with Dr. Kwok.
